Solution Delivers Advanced BI Capabilities Atop SAP Business One

A Miami-based steel and pipe distributor with customers in wide variety of industries around the world, Corpac Steel Products Corp. utilizes SAP Business One to manage – effectively – its complex business from end to end.  What was missing, though, was the ability to get customizable, comprehensive reports, and the ability to visualize key performance indicators.

Dunn Solutions Group proposed and was selected to implement a BusinessObjects Edge-based business intelligence solution on Corpac’s SAP Business One.  The enterprise-wide, global solution included sophisticated data universes that enabled a single reporting platform using BusinessObjects WebIntelligence, and insightful dashboards using BusinessObjects Xcelsius.  In addition, the solution included knowledge transfer and advanced training for key IT team members.

This project was the first known deployment of the Edge/WebIntelligence combination atop Business One.

Just months since going live, Corpac managers are utilizing the versatile reporting, analytics and visualization tools to quickly answer critical questions, closely monitor operations and gain a deeper understanding of their operational and business performance.

With the deployment successfully completed, Corpac is planning, with Dunn Solutions Group’s help, to build and deploy a sophisticated data mart/data warehouse to enable real-time reporting and other solution enhancements.
