Typically companies begin initiatives with “stand up” training and encourage as many users as possible to attend. This is clearly the best way to insure success as the users get the highest level of training available.
But, how do companies address the manager who came on board three weeks after the class was held? The decision maker who needs to work on the weekend? The person who took a training class four months ago but needs a refresher on one of the topics?
For many organizations the answer is computer based training (CBT).

“In Context” Training Beats Vanilla
When leveraging CBT with highly complex tools we’ve found that learning is easier if the
training is directly related to the business itself. Students pick up concepts faster when the
references are to their own BO Universes, Classes, and Objects. As an example take a look at a
sample CBT we created for the mythical City of Gotham. In the CBT we leverage “in context” training
about not only Business Objects, but the nature of the organization’s data as well. All the
examples relate specifically to the organization and to the work the student will be doing with the
tool.
This solution leverages industry standard web components and can be deployed on an intranet
or extranet with no additional software. Contact us at info@dunnsolutions.com to find out how we
can create a custom CBT for your organization.
